Numerical simulation of experimental tests is often required for verification purposes to approve the validity of the results obtained from a modelling approach. The project included numerical simulation and validation for standard 3- and 4-point bending tests of concrete beams reinforced with GFRP bars
A modelling approach was initially tested and proposed to the client. After client approval, the client requested blind prediction of a series of 8 different tests selected from the literature
Results of the analyses showed a very high level of compatibility between the numerical prediction and the experimental results
